04/23/2025- I arrived on site to find all components running properly except for the compressor starting due to a weak 35/5 capacitor. After replacing the weak capacitor the compressor ran without issue, allowing the unit to start cooling the house properly. I have confirmed that all electrical components are working properly and the unit is cooling properly at the time of service. Unit is not covered under warranty.

Diagnostic/ Downstairs system not cooling. I arrived and verified indoor airflow and went outside. I found that the condenser was locked out a red-3 error code for short cycling. I reset the system and found pressures to be fine. The customer informed me that the roofers had put two boxes of their own equipment on top of the condenser this afternoon. This likely caused the system to go into high pressure lockout due to blocked airflow. The system is now cooling properly.

The mechanic came the next day and discovered the problem. He said I needed a part replaced. He was able to locate the part & returned to my home and repaired my unit. He was pretty adamant about getting it repaired right away, so I go the check-up and a speedy repair in less than 24 hours for it all. There was no emergency, but it all got done in a timely manner and I am grateful. The cost was also reasonable.
