Upon arrival, I found the customer’s Daikin heat pump, not heating properly due to the condenser being in a hard lockout for pressure. I reset the system. It came on but wasn’t heating properly. I then checked the pressures to find the system low on refrigerant. The TXV bulb and suction line where it mounted was all corroded and the bulb was loose. I took it apart, cleaned it up and re-secured it and insulated it to find a system. A little low on refrigerant. I found a Schrader port on the evaporator coil and the Schrader cap was missing and had a tiny leak. I was able to tighten the shredder and put a cap on good and tight. I did not find any other leaks. The customer approved an estimate to top the system off with refrigerant after doing so I ran the system in heat and cool mode. Your system is operating properly at this time. We will return to do a follow up in a couple weeks.

Ran into a problem with our thermostat during routine maintenance that was beyond routine. Benson's responded right away; sending not only a replacement for the thermostat but also a supervisor to troubleshoot the problem with the thermostat. Required 2 1/2 hours to identify and correct the problem. We were really impressed with the way this problem was handled and resolved. Could not have asked for better, more professional, or quicker service. Most impressed with the supervisor's work, interaction with us, and attitude as he worked to track down the problem.
