Diagnostic/ Blank thermostat. I arrived and checked the air handler safety switch and found that it was triggered. I poured water through the condensate pump and it pumped water out like it should. I tried to pour water through the line leading up to it, and found that the line was clogged. I vacuumed the line out and treated the drain pan. I then tested system operations. The system is cooling and draining properly at this time.

Diagnostic/ Water leaking on bathroom ceiling. I went up to the air handler in the 2nd floor attic. I found that the blower was running faster than it should and stirring up the condensation water inside the air handler, and possibly causing it to drip outside of the air handler or into the ductwork and the ceiling below. I found that the air filter at the air handler was very dirty, causing an air restriction and a blower speed increase. I replaced the filter and the blower ran at a normal speed. The only other HVAC-related possibility for the water spot would be a tear in the insulation on the drain line or suction line. I attempted to explore the first floor attic and find the lines in the attic but was blocked by a wall of insulation that would need to get removed for me to go further. The system is cooling properly at this time.
