Customer called in requesting service the upstairs American Standard unit was not cooling. The air handler was running, but the outdoor condenser was not. I arrived at home and spoke with Mr. Rick about his concern. I verified that the air handler was running. No safeties were tripped, so I continue diagnostics at the condenser System ran for about 30 seconds and cut off. I found the faulty part to be the high side pressure switch. I bypassed the high side switch to get Mr. Rick Cooling temporarily until the new pressure switch is in next week. I have ordered the new pressure switch from Trane.
